Marionette introduces the debut album from South of France-based multidisciplinary artist Ioa Beduneau, who is known for building self-playing installations and DIY electronics. Ioa approaches sound with a perspective shaped by disability and the desire to spark dialogue on Melodies pour Clairons. Using modular synths informed by physical modelling and bioacoustics, he constructs an abstract but intentional sonic ecosystem. The album unfolds like a sound diary, reimagining the medieval clairon through breath and resonance. Organic ASMR textures, synthesised bird calls and bell-like pirouettes populate the airwaves and as chaos meets harmony, beauty is made. A poetic statement from Marionette.
