1x Vinyl 7" 45 RPM Single Reissue

Release date: Nov 14, 2025, Worldwide

Our inner Shazam bristles, as Tenor Saw's indelible 'Ring The Alarm' hears a full vinyl reissue for the first time. But actually, VPAL have here served us two cornerstones of reggae in one, since the former track is a great use case of version circulation: 1985's 'Ring The Alarm' rode the Stalag riddim into soundsystem immortality, Tenor Saw's sharp delivery cutting through its rolling bassline to create one of dancehall's defining anthems. On the flip is Collins' original keyboard-driven 'Stalag 17', recorded for Winston Riley's Techniques label in the mid-70s, a rhythm so enduring it has underpinned hundreds of versions and been borrowed by artists from Public Enemy to Alicia Keys. This limited pressing reconnects the vocal with its foundation, affirming why Stalag remains one of Jamaican music's most recycled and recognisable backdrops. Can't be ridden of riddims like this!
