UK jazz ensemble Ruby Rushton - don't be bamboozled by the proper first name, this is a group - steps into a new phase with their fifth album crafted by bandleader Tenderlonious and keys player Aidan Shepherd. Unlike their earlier live, one-take temerities, the group - now with trumpeter Nick Walters and drummer Tim Carnegie - here layer horn and flute parts over original takes, bringing an action-stations studio aftertouch to an already proven improv mettle.
