Now having courted outsize controversy, 'Sayonara' finds Belfast and Derry trio Kneecap tap into turbocharged rave territory as they hit shoulders with Paul Hartnoll of Orbital, growing peculiarly from their earlier link-up where Orbital's 'Belfast' was used in Kneecap's film soundtrack. Here the reaction pathway steepens, Hartnoll's drum-heavy production underpinning sharp, rapidfire, ballied verses. Along with 'The Recap' with Mozey - a live d&b thrash debuted at London's Wide Awake Festival - they newly stock a restless blend of hip-hop, Irish-language polemic and riot-starting humour collided with Mozey's drum & bass assault, flipping between punkish bass rumbles and breakbeat detonations. Both singles put ever more fire in the kiln of Kneecap's already insurgent reputation.
