Sir Runnin' Records (SRR015)

1x Vinyl 12" 45 RPM

Release date: Mar 16, 2025, Belgium

Unlisted Fanatic is proud to present a new 12" vinyl on his own Sir Runnin' label.

One side is a Rootsy Stepper called “Celebration Time” with MariJah on Vocal and strong contribution from Moonshine Horns. The flip side is an uptempo digi stepper called “Crisis” with vocals by Saimn-I.

“Crisis” was made in the beginning of the covid crisis. Being a period of low with no gigs it didn’t do much at first and kinda went to the back of my mind. After the covid I started doing live mix sets with MariJah and Moonshine Horns. When we played Reggae Geel in 2022 time was moving much quicker than i had forseen so I had to reach something out to something to fill the gap and ditched up Crisis. It blew up and crowd got mad. I kept playing it and while it didn’t get played by a number 1 sound. I had so many requests from sounds all over and especially young the new crowd latched on to it that I just had to release it.

“Celebration Time” has been our closing tune of our current live mix set and got played by a sounds like Blackboard Jungle (FRA), Rise & Shine (IT), King Shiloh (NL), Dub-Up Hifi ... The riddim was an old dubplate called "First of the Year" revived and uplifted with a nice musical arrangement with drum rolls, horns, organ and clavinet to support the strong interaction between MariJah's vocal and the Moonshine Horns. For the dubwise I decided to reach back to the original dubplate vibe and go for a straight meditation mood to be played in the depths of a soundsystem session.
