ROGGTRAX is an independent musical project led by Matthieu Roggwiller, aka MATTROGG, since 2020. Through several artistic entities, ROGGTRAX is an intimate project which draws its influences from the early 80s of Anglo-Saxon disco and sub-Saharan Africa disco, but also from new-wave and international mainstream pop.
Furthermore, MATTROGG is closely linked to the CONSORTIUM RECORDS label, writting and producing within TRACKMAKERS, an electro-house combo formed with Onésime Reclus, aka PHASE.
To date, the main entities programmed on ROGGTRAX are: THE DOCKSIDES BOY, medium and down-tempo instrumental projects, tinged with sound illustration. WILLERIAN, with disco colored projects, rich in percussion and rhythm guitars. ROGGTRAX, which will gather minimalist electro-disco projects. For ROG 01, THE DOCKSIDES BOY, gets the ball rolling! An ep of 4 tracks with an “electropical” ambiance
(Finger), deep-rock (Mustang), latin-funk (Strato) and biguine ballad (Pech).
