Comme le dit mon bon vieux dicton, chaque année vaut son lot de révélation venu d’Outre-Manche. L’année 2019 sera certainement celle de Fontaines D.C. qui est un quintet irlandais ayant également son mot à dire sur le Brexit. Avec leur esprit punk qui n’a pas leur pareil, préparez-vous à une tempête dévastatrice en leur compagnie avec leur premier album nommé Dolgres.

L'idéal ce serait un texte tellement bien écrit qu'on puisse se passer d'écouter la musique qu'il accompagne. Un vocabulaire poétique voire exotique, une syntaxe déroutante et une liste abracadabrantesque de références obscures. On pourrait aussi dire que c'est de la pop. Anglaise ? Américaine ? Name dropping : Brian Wilson ? John Lennon ? Big Star ? Mais peut- être aussi The Flaming Lips ? Tame Impala ? Air ? Non ? C'est chiant, déjà ? C'est vague ? Peut-être. Une histoire ?Monsieur Thibauld Labey écrit des chansons, depuis longtemps, à l'écart mais bien souvent en plein dans le mille, selon certains. Entre pure joie et désespoir, naïveté enfantine et aigre cynisme il trimballe tant bien que mal un spleen qui s'illumine aux couleurs de ses rencontres.Depuis A*Song et ses trois albums jusqu'à TRUMPETS OF CONSCIOUSNESS aujourd'hui, avec Thomas Chignier, Quentin Martinod, Sly Apollinaire, Noé Macary et Mathieu Larue. Après un premier LP éponyme sorti en 2016 (Le Pop Club Records / Echo Orange) le groupe monte sur scène, fait une série de dates au Canada et vend tous ses vinyles. Alors voilà un autre disque, il s'appelle Approximate, il y a deux titres en français, il sort en avril 2019 avec, à nouveau, une pochette signée David Sala.

Los Lobos revient avec des reprises des groupes mythiques de Los Angeles !Le groupe Los Lobos, de Los Angeles, a toujours été inspiré par son environnement et l'endroit où il se trouve.Leur musique est influencée par le rock and roll, le Tex-Mex, la country, le zydeco, le folk, le R&B, le blues, labrown-eyed soul et la musique traditionnelle comme la cumbia, les boleros et les nortenos. Avec Native Sons, legroupe a voulu mettre en valeur toutes ces influences avec sa propre version des chansons de Los Angelesécrites par certains des plus grands auteurs-compositeurs de la ville. Native Sons comprend 13 chansonsd'artistes de Los Angeles bien connus comme Buffalo Springfield, WAR, Jackson Browne et les Beach Boys,ainsi que des morceaux profonds des Jaguars, des Basters et des Premiers. Le titre éponyme est la seulecomposition originale écrite par le groupe.
